Sunday, October 21st - Day 2

Old Key West Bus Stop
Today's original plans called for mass at 9:30 and then to Magic Kingdom since it was a preferred park day there.  However, very early, around 4:30, I heard Joe getting up and then pacing the floor. He said he did not feel right but did not want me to call an ambulance. Then he felt clammy and I didn't care what he wanted, I called 911 and they sent an ambulance right away. It was not considered an emergency since he was able to talk and tell them what he was feeling...which was like his throat was closing up. I rode up in the front with the ambulance driver and we went to Celebration Hospital.
Here we go
It took about 20 mins. for him to get a room and they hooked him up to take his vitals but for the next two hours, nothing. I finally went out and asked what was going on and they said they were waiting for lab results before doing CT scan...only problem is, no one came to take blood! So she did it right away and it got the ball rolling. Long story short, he has a swollen left side of tongue and the dr. had never seen this before. It was not infected  and there was nothing they could do and it was probably sleep apnea related. We will deal with it when we get back and he started feeling much better as he sat up and felt like more air was getting in to his lungs. Spending 6 hrs. in the emergency room was not how we envisioned starting our day but all in all, it could have been alot worse and we were both happy to be on our way!  Our cab ride back to OKW was $18 and the front desk reimbursed us for that.

When we got back to OKW, we cleaned up and headed out to Magic Kingdom. It was a gorgeous day on Main Street USA!
Dapper Dans - Mr. Sandman
We decided to go to Sonny's to get a burger and just take our time and take it all in as we go. The crowds were much lower today than yesterday and the weather was perfect!  I was taking some pictures on the way back to Cosmic Ray's. Could not get over the blue hue of the sky!

Our view at lunch
Sonny's was pretty busy and there were no seats to be had down on the  main show floor. I found a little table outside and it was so pleasant out there so we did not mind it at all. You can never go wrong looking at a castle while eating lunch!  Someone stopped by to give us their coke that they did not drink...yes...thanks but no thanks...we ended up pitching it. Neither of us drink pop but it was nice of them.

After lunch we decided to ride the PeopleMover to relax and of course, it was a walk on. I love how you can see so much from the elevated track.  Tomorrowland was in full swing with the race way cars going, Astro Orbiter spinning and even PUSH was out talking to guests!
From People Mover
We decided to head over to Adventureland via the hub. A castle show was going on and they were roping off for the parade. I could not walk past Partners without getting a picture!

Pat had texted me that Pirates was closed but we thought we would still check it out.  We walked almost the whole way in until we finally hit the end of the line.  It did not take long to board but once we did, we sat there for about 15 mins.  Then one boat got to go and we waited for another 5 minutes and we went. Not sure what was going on...it took much longer than usual but fun as always.
Dead men tell no tales!
We wants the redhead!

When we exited the ride, we saw Jack Sparrow doing his pirate thing and went over to see if it was a "good jack" or not...not bad...not bad...

Saw this balloon in the stroller parking area and just thought it was so pretty!

After Pirates, we headed over for a citrus swirl and decided to see if there were any rockers in Frontierland but with the parade starting soon, I knew there was no chance.  We sat all the wooden tree bases and watched birds stalking people eating turkey legs, lol.  This one made me laugh!

Our plan was to head down Main Street, look around a bit and then head over to Fort Wilderness to look around.  Of course, I rarely take a few steps without finding something to take a picture of.  Aladdins Carpet Ride was closed but I love this camel!

Then I saw this guy selling churros, but he was all out! lol

We were taking the boat over to Fort Wilderness and had about a 10 minute wait.  I really enjoyed the relaxing ride over to the Fort.  It is much more comfortable this time of year than in August when it is
5747438383 degrees out.
Bay Lake Tower and Contemporary

We pulled up to the dock at The Fort and of course, I am in heaven.  Your mood just instantly relaxes and the pace slows down.  It felt SO good to be back here again!  I walked over to site 114 where a friend and fellow travel agent, Judy,  stays from August to February.  I recognized another fort buddy, Donny, and stopped in to chat with them both. If you get over to the fort at Halloween or Christmas, Judy's site is right next to the settlement store and trust me, you cannot miss it!
She is nowhere near done!
Check out these great golf carts!

We said our goodbyes to Judy and Donny and headed over to the dog park.  My plan was to spread some of Sandie's ashes here at her favorite place.  She loved to run from one end to the other and greet every dog that entered. It just made me feel better to know that part of her was here where she belonged. We were the only people in the park but as we left, one was entering...a very friendly husky mix.

We walked on over to Trails End for our big group get together dinner. All the rockers were taken but we got some chairs near the checkers table. Joe bought me a mudslide...not cheap...but very good! I saw one rocker open up and I moved to sit there so I could see our friends arriving. Before I knew it, Barbara and Roy were here....then Darla and Deb....then Rich/Deb and Gary/Becky arrived and Pat and Sean shortly thereafter!

Our table was ready in no time..there was some confusion in getting the tables right, but it all worked out and we had a wonderful meal with great friends, great food and great fun! Sorry, no pics, was too busy eating!  After dinner it was dark enough to walk around and see the Halloween decorations! Judy's site was very well lit!

We all decided to call it a night and went back via our various methods of transportation..some boating it back to MK and some via bus back to cars at the Outpost.  The last two pictures from today is one of our villa at night and our group picture with Fred the Bear at Trails End.
